Quickie!

Most of the frames in the floor. We had to take them down to paint!

Walls, pre-paint = GROSS!

New Paint! You can see where we stopped.
There is a reason to that, don't you worry.

New Walls! Hubby is such a badass.

Custom chops still in the floor. It was quite a mess!

That just about ends day 2. All the frames are up now and I'll post pictures of that later.
I'm off to a market to buy more stuff! WOO!!

Still working...

Yep, I'm still at work. BUT, that's okay because it's starting to look really good. I have lots of pictures to load up, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm super tired, but I'm more than alright with that because the store is going to look awesome when we are done.

Well, I've got to give Mr. Pinky a hand, so I better scoot. HUGS and much love!

The Destruction!

Some of these pictures are from the first deconstruction, most are from today. WOO! It's a mess in there! And, sadly, yes I did just get home. I know, it's 11:00 p.m., but there is much work to be done and we are re-opening on August 1st. Just like John Wiggins said, "I can sleep when I'm dead."

These are the two of the old counters that we took out.

This is the Mamma-Jamma Supa Awesome Wall Cutter!!

End of Phase I renovation. MUCH more room!
(See my new rug! pretty...)

Well, I guess that's all for now. I have more to show you, but Blogger is being funny and won't let me upload anymore. Oh well. We're working tomorrow so I'll have more to post by then, anyway.

One of my favorites...

What I did after I got off work.

Watched the sunset and actually brought my camera with me.
Sometimes, just chilling by the water watching the sun set it ablaze is
all I need to put myself back together.
Not that I've been broken, mind you, just too busy to do anything for me.
I'm important, too.
I just have to remember that.

Smile

Today is our 2 year anniversary.
The time has flown by and I am
happy to be your wife, every day.
Sure, we've had hard times, but who hasn't?
The fact that we made it through those times,
only shows how truly we love each other.

My love to you, today, as it is every day,
pure, strong and enduring.

My heart,
Your Adoring Wife

Sleeeeeeeepy...

This is how I feel:

I pushed myself too far today and got a whopper of a headache in the process. I slept for a while this afternoon, thus I'm awake at nearly one in the morning.

I uploaded a bunch of pictures of the store in progress, but I don't feel like loading them to the blog tonight. Probably tomorrow. Oh, no, that won't work. It's the season finale of Ghost Hunters. I'll be at TamiD's watching that.

Update on Shadow! He spent 2 days in the hospital and was diagnosed with having 2 different kinds of parasitic worms. He just will not quit drinking nasty outside water! He'll walk past fresh water to drink that nasty stuff. But, he is at home and is angrily taking his antibiotics. He really doesn't like them, but we don't want him getting sicker. He's much better, but still a little wary of jumping around in the yard like he used to.

Other than that, things are good. Business is picking up and we have the last stage of renovations planned. I'm joining the Chamber of Commerce and they are throwing me a Grand Re-Opening bash in August. Very cool.

Well, I better get in the bed and try to sleep. I hope everyone has a good Hump Day and I'll try to get by the blogs soon. Hugs-N-Luv

Artist Spotlight

I wanted to take a minute to tell you about an artist that I have been totally in love with for quite some time. Her name is Zindy and I've never met her nor have I bought anything, but I adore her art all the same. She is talented beyond words with pencil, coal and paints. What gets me the most is the raw emotion that she manages to capture. She brings forth strong emotions that blow my mind. Like sadness, elation, grief, anger. I've always heard that getting emotion onto paper is one of the hardest things an artist can do. Well, I think she's doing pretty well. Here are just a few from her site:

Not only does she do a fantastic job at people, check out this drawing of Josh Holloway from Lost:

Pretty amazing, huh? Check her out and I can promise you, you won't be disappointed.

Hello, everybody

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting, well, at all, but I have been beyond busy. Work days starting at 8 and I'm forcing myself to go home at 6:30 every night. That's not to say my brain isn't still working in overtime. Trust me, it is. Things are coming together with the store and business has been good. It's a lot, but I'm so stinking happy it's not even funny.

On a serious note, hubby just took Shadow to the emergency vet. We think he may have gotten into some poison and we're really worried about him. He hasn't eaten in 24 hours and he's not left the garage in that time either. Please keep him in your thoughts. Even though it didn't work with him living inside with us, he's very much a part of our family and he just doesn't feel well. Snuggly little bugger that he is. :(

Other than that, all is well here. I got my hair cut today and I think I'm going to go get it a little shorter in the back. It frames my face nicely and is quite sassy. I haven't had time to make any jewelry, but that should change soon. We're planning on moving completely to house #2 next week! That will be awesome! Stressy, yes, but awesome nonetheless. I've got to get in the bed, I have payroll to do tomorrow and I'm sure everyone involved wants me to be well rested for that! HA! Hugs and much love to you all. Pictures soon! PROMISE!

What a week!

I can't believe that a week has nearly flown by on me! I've been so busy that I'm not really surprised, but it still doesn't feel like it.

Things are moving along at this odd breakneck/ super slow pace. I don't get it. I've been in a flurry, but things still seem to take too long to accomplish. It's coming together and the transfer of the business is only 2 days away!! House #2 is finished, except for the kitchen, and I've got to get moving on that, too. Don't ask me how I change hats so many times in a day because I just couldn't tell you.

I've made a few pieces of jewelry, but I've been hoarding them up to put in the store. I'm waiting to find out from my accountant what I need to do about my Pinky Shop on Etsy. I may have to close it, which would suck, or I may get to tuck it into the business I have now and keep on with it. I like the latter idea better.

Miss Pinky is with the grandparents, getting spoiled rotten I'm sure. But it's every grandparent's right to spoil the crap out of grandchildren. My 'rents do it well. She's been super cool about momma going back to work. Her biggest concern was if she could bring her crayons with her. I think that can be accomplished. :)

Tomorrow is Independence Day! We are having our annual throw down at TamiD's house. I'm required to spend obscene amounts of money on fireworks. Okay, not required, but MAN, do I love setting them off! Nothing sends me on a shopping spree like 2 for 1 sales at the fireworks stand. I was sick at New Year's and the guy that runs the place actually asked where I was! It's not like me to miss an opportunity to blow things up. He's already asked about me this year, so I better get up there soon or he'll think I've forgotten about him. Southern ways are sometimes really, really cool.

I suppose that's enough rambling from me. I have a million things to do, but I think I'm going to go chill out with a saucy romance novel instead. If I don't tell you later, I hope all you State side have a Happy 4th of July!!

Hugs-N-Luv ~ Pinky!
