Sleeeeeeeepy...

This is how I feel:

I pushed myself too far today and got a whopper of a headache in the process. I slept for a while this afternoon, thus I'm awake at nearly one in the morning.

I uploaded a bunch of pictures of the store in progress, but I don't feel like loading them to the blog tonight. Probably tomorrow. Oh, no, that won't work. It's the season finale of Ghost Hunters. I'll be at TamiD's watching that.

Update on Shadow! He spent 2 days in the hospital and was diagnosed with having 2 different kinds of parasitic worms. He just will not quit drinking nasty outside water! He'll walk past fresh water to drink that nasty stuff. But, he is at home and is angrily taking his antibiotics. He really doesn't like them, but we don't want him getting sicker. He's much better, but still a little wary of jumping around in the yard like he used to.

Other than that, things are good. Business is picking up and we have the last stage of renovations planned. I'm joining the Chamber of Commerce and they are throwing me a Grand Re-Opening bash in August. Very cool.

What a week!

I can't believe that a week has nearly flown by on me! I've been so busy that I'm not really surprised, but it still doesn't feel like it.

Things are moving along at this odd breakneck/ super slow pace. I don't get it. I've been in a flurry, but things still seem to take too long to accomplish. It's coming together and the transfer of the business is only 2 days away!! House #2 is finished, except for the kitchen, and I've got to get moving on that, too. Don't ask me how I change hats so many times in a day because I just couldn't tell you.

I've made a few pieces of jewelry, but I've been hoarding them up to put in the store. I'm waiting to find out from my accountant what I need to do about my Pinky Shop on Etsy. I may have to close it, which would suck, or I may get to tuck it into the business I have now and keep on with it. I like the latter idea better.

Miss Pinky is with the grandparents, getting spoiled rotten I'm sure. But it's every grandparent's right to spoil the crap out of grandchildren. My 'rents do it well. She's been super cool about momma going back to work. Her biggest concern was if she could bring her crayons with her. I think that can be accomplished. :)

Tomorrow is Independence Day! We are having our annual throw down at TamiD's house. I'm required to spend obscene amounts of money on fireworks. Okay, not required, but MAN, do I love setting them off! Nothing sends me on a shopping spree like 2 for 1 sales at the fireworks stand. I was sick at New Year's and the guy that runs the place actually asked where I was! It's not like me to miss an opportunity to blow things up. He's already asked about me this year, so I better get up there soon or he'll think I've forgotten about him. Southern ways are sometimes really, really cool.

I suppose that's enough rambling from me. I have a million things to do, but I think I'm going to go chill out with a saucy romance novel instead. If I don't tell you later, I hope all you State side have a Happy 4th of July!!

Hello

Sorry I haven't been around much, but this week has proved to be as busy as I thought it would be. AND we've had a few extra crazy things tossed in just for the heck of it. Tonight, TamiD's daughter is having her first real sleepover party! Miss Pinky is going and I get to go to help TamiD with a bunch of screaming girls. It should be interesting to say the least. Movies, dress up, Twister, candy and the pool, too! It's going to be insane but ultra cool. I've got to get going, I'm supposed to be at the other house now and I'm lazing about. Not really, but if I'm not moving constantly it starts to feel that way.

The last day

Yesterday was Miss Pinky's last day of school! It's strange because I have worked almost all her life, I've never had a summer vacation with her. Ever! We're both going to have to figure this one out. I figure we will make tons of crafts, swim in the pool and just hang out. She's going to help me pack some more stuff up today and that will be good.

Speaking of, moving is going s l o w l y. We were doing alright, but then after going up and down the stairs a million times on Wednesday, my knees gave out. I went to work out on Thursday and I made it through one round, looked at the girl who works there and told her I was done. I tried and I know that I could have made it, but I would have really hurt myself. TamiD and I didn't do much yesterday, I laid around the rest of the day and still my knees are hurting. I really goosed them up good this time.

Tonight, this afternoon actually, we are going to the movies! We're going to see Pirates of the Caribbean!!! It's going to be a good one! Then, tomorrow night, TamiD is having a birthday party for me. Since I was out of town last weekend, we moved it to this weekend. Pool party!!!! Hot dogs, potato salad, whiskey and water! It's going to be FUN!! WOOOO! Hopefully, I will remember to bring my camera since I always forget it when it's a party! grrrrr at me!!

Moving right along

We're moving things into the house today! WOOOOOOOO! TamiD and I are rocking and rolling and getting things moving! I don't have much time to write this morning, I've been up since 5:30 and busy ever since!

It is SO my Birthday!

Yep, that is right ladies and gentlemen, I am 31 today! WOO! Excited? Nah, just glad it's here. Glad I made it! Nothing crazy planned for the day. Although, TamiD is making me her famous cheese dip that is SO good, you can feel yourself getting fatter while you eat it. Oh, yeah, it's that amazing. We're so not getting weighed and measured this month :P

Now I have to go fix lunch for Miss Pinky, take a shower and get ready for the rest of my day. Who knows, I may scrap my usual plans to work out, the work in the house. I might actually sit at the house and make jewelry all day! Wouldn't that be nice?? Either way, I've got to get moving if I want to have enough time to get it all done. Oh, if you ever wondered: yes, having two cats reenact Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon" on your butt at 5:30 in the morning is a much better way to ensure you will actually get up at 5:30 in the morning. I don't recommend it all the time. :)

I'm Alive!!

I'm still working on house #2, but it's the very end! Last little bit of painting and I'm already moving stuff in. Well, I'm moving my art in, not heavy crap. Hubby hurt his back so we might have to wait a little before the heavy crap gets moved.

I've been busy with my shop and as you all know, I surpassed my Etsy birthday goal of selling 100 pieces. I've sold 103 to date and looking to sell some more. I have some new designs and some really pretty stones that I have been working with. Like this!

Not much else has been going on. School for Miss Pinky, work out, paint, jewelry, dinner, bath, sleep. That's about it! Sad in a way. OH! At the last weigh day, I lost 2 pounds, one of which was pure body fat, and another 9.5 inches! That means I've lost 22 inches total!!!!! I lost 2 inches off each thigh and as most of you ladies know, that kicks ass. TamiD and I are doing a Splenda 6 week challenge and even though I don't care about winning the prize, I do care about finishing the challenge.

We got our new fridge and I love it!!! It's purty. I'm going to try to start catching up with everyone and blogging more often. I miss it. I miss everyone. :( But for now, I've got to get in the shower and go to sleep! I have another day of standing on a ladder tomorrow!!

Crazy..

I'm going to be sparse for the next few days. We're getting the floors in and TamiD and I are trying to finish the house so that we won't have to do it when the new floors go down. I'm sore as a mutha from standing on a ladder for two days, but it looks good. I am going to take my camera over there today so that I can take some shots for you.

Ch-Ch-CHANGES!

Sorry, I couldn't help myself! HA! I like this blog layout and color much better, the other one was a little too gloomy for me. Okay, I have TWO big things to tell you and then I have to get my butt out the door.

1. I had the weigh in yesterday. I didn't lose not ONE SINGLE POUND. sigh.... BUT! I did lose TWELVE AND A HALF INCHES OFF MY BODY!! WOOOOOOOO!!! That's a whole FOOT!! My dad called me a shape shifter and I think that's about right!! Awesome, huh?!? TamiD lost 2.25 pounds and 23 1/2 inches!! HOLY CRAP!! Needles to say, we were really freaking happy. Not bad for one month!

2. I'm going to order the new floors today!! HOORAY isn't enough for my excitement!! That means we will actually be able to start moving in the house soon! OMG, I think I might faint from happiness. Bamboo floors here I come!!

That's what is going on! But getting the floors means TamiD and I have to go paint all the trim in the big room, NOW. It's all in oil paint and I would fall out if I dripped oil base on my new floors. FALL OUT, I tell you! So, I've got to get my (smaller) butt in gear and get to work! Yesterday, TamiD's husband lost his job, one that he's been at for over three years and is highly skilled at. Remember my beautiful kitchen cabinets? Yeah, her husband did that. Obviously, this came as a shock for them. They have a new home and a lovely seven year old daughter and losing his job could not have come at a worse time.

I freezy no more!!

No Heat

Yeah, you read that right. The heat decided to go out in our house today. Not over the weekend when it was in the 70's, but tonight when the low is going to be around 20 degrees. SUCK, isn't even close.

So, Baby Pinky and I are staying at TamiD's house. See, I told you she was cool. I just stopped by home to pick up clothes and toothbrushes, so I don't know when I'll be online again. This is supposed to be the first hard cold that we have gotten all winter long. Wish us luck!!

I'm sure that a few of you guys have heard me talk about my friend TamiD. She's the one that goes on most of the picture taking outings with me and she's the one that is helping me get house #2 looking super fantastic. In addition to being such a wonderful friend ( I called her once from a bathroom at a restaurant because I was having a panic attack and she TOTALLY made me feel better and then called me later so that she could give me an excuse to leave a very stressy situation. She's that cool. ) she is really talented. She makes pillows, blankets, all kinds of stunning flower arrangements, she paints ceramics and is an amazing photographer.
