This song is consuming me

I haven't ever been all that much into music, it just wasn't something I freaked out about. My brother, husband and pretty much everyone else I know is the opposite. However, there is this one song that is consuming my thoughts. I wake up with it in my head and it shows up all during the day. Normally, that would make me mad, but not this one. I don't know what it is that makes me HAVE to hear it, but it does. I go to some other place in my mind and just stop, breathe and chill out. But when the song is over, I miss it already! It's like music crack. Anyway, I loaded it onto Myspace so I could hear it whenever I was over there. Here is the link so you can hear what is making me crazy.

It's funny, there is this song that Robs listens to all the time and I said to him one day "You can't NOT move to this song" and I feel the same about this.

Very funky! Like it lots!

I am a HUGE music person myself and I like to have some on almost all the time...lol.

See, that's one funny thing about me (as if I have only one!) I love music, but I rarely buy it for myself, I am never current on what's out and what I do listen to is not the norm.

Just this morning, I listened to the Smallville soundtrack, The New Pornographers and Dusty Springfield. I love for my brother to make me CD's and not tell me who's on it. He always sends the neatest stuff and I have to call him to find out who it is.

Excellent song- was a huge hit here in the UK. In fact I'm about to buy their album.

Hey, I like that song! If you have to have a song stuck in your head for a while, that one wouldn't be a bad choice.

I don't enjoy having songs stuck in my head, but I'm stuck. I just finished playing for the Musical "urinetown" and I know I'll have to listen to those songs play in my head for at least a couple of months. Same thing happened with Beauty and the Beast, the Secret Garden, etc...
At least the songs get replaced after about three months with a new set.

I admit it, I'm a music whore. I love music, and as you know, visiting my blog, I have a wide variety that I share with everyone. I hadn't heard that song before, but I must say I like it :0)

My husband is a music freak and often likes to test my music knowledge...very good for long car trips. I surprise him once in awhile. I very rarely know the artist or song names and have to wait for the radio announcer to tell me, after which time I promptly forget the info.

Lately, my daughter has become interested in music and will ask me the names of songs or who sings a particular song. I had better brush up. I have probably only purchased 10 albums/Cds in my life. Hubby buys them all. Luckily the Ipod now tells me what's playing!

I agree, if you have to have a song stuck in your head, this one's good...very soulful.

I do know that song and like it - I was dancing along at my computer! Well we're big music fans in the Lampshade Household, huugggge. So music is quite the backdrop to our lives.

Thanks - now I know where to go to hear that song. That would be a good cleaning song.
